However I was able to resolve this by editing the .ovf file and generating a new Sha key using File Checksum Integrity Verifier. Now when I try to import the VM the message I receive is; "Failed to deploy OVF package: file myVm.vmdk fails integrity check and may have been corrupted during transfer"
To fix this OVF Deployment error, open the OVF file using a text editor. I use Notepad ++ which is one of my favourite software. Right click on the OVF file and open with the text editor. We were able to identify the below block of codes with the " IDE Controller "

To resolve this issue, deploy the template OVA/OVF package via the vSphere Web Client or ESXi Embedded Host Client because both support SHA256. However, if you still want to automate your deployments, you must convert the OVF/OVA from the Cryptographic Hash Algorithm SHA256 to SHA1 .

I have double checked download and quickly realize what is wrong. OVF file should be XML file with references to vmdk files (disk images) but this OVF file was just a single large file.

The cause was very simple. When I wanted to deploy OVF package ESXi hostname was not resolvable. Solution. Quick fix is to simply add entries in hosts file on my Windows PC. After changing hosts file OVF package (in my case NSX Manager) was successfully deployed.
